Teddy Bear Toss game returns to PASA

The bears will fly again during the annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

The Sarnia Sting and Lambton Ford are teaming up again for the 24th annual event Sunday, December 5.

Lambton Ford President Rob Ravensberg said to date, over 70,000 stuffed toys have been collected for local charities, and they keep setting their sights higher each year.

"We always need to be around 3,000 so that's kind of an automatic goal," said Ravensberg. "But I think the goal is to always maybe break and exceed our record, which is around 4,300 that we collected in a single year [2017]."

The event helps several children's agencies in the region fill their Christmas wish lists including the Salvation Army, the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Children's Aid Society and Pathways Health Centre For Children.

When the Sarnia Sting score their first goal against the Kitchener Rangers, fans will toss their stuffed toys onto the ice at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Puck drop is at 2 p.m. and you can hear the game live on 103.9FM - 1070AM CHOK beginning with the pregame show at 1:30 p.m.
