Lambton MOH promoting safe Thanksgiving gatherings

Health officials are again advising residents to take the proper precautions as families prepare to gather for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Lambton Medical officer of Health Dr. Sudit Ranade said the key is to keep it small.

"If you have any kinds of symptoms, even if you're vaccinated, do not attend a gathering or function," said Dr. Ranade. "And then the final key is to be willing to have those conversations with people that you care about, about your expectations around their presence, that they be well, that they be healthy and ideally that they be vaccinated."

Ontario's chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore says it's also important to follow public health rules.

Under current provincial COVID-19 restrictions, indoor gatherings are capped at 25 people, 100 outdoors.
