COVID-19 test tube. (Photo from Pixabay)The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has jumped from 19 to 26 in the past 24 hours.
Lambton Public Health reported eight new cases and one recovery on Saturday.
There have been a total of 3,718 confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic. The health unit also reported a total of 3,623 resolved cases.
The local death toll remains unchanged at 69.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
