Lambton College hosting first live event since pandemic began

Lambton College is inviting prospective students to the campus Wednesday for the first in-person event since the pandemic began.

The 'Live at Lambton' information session will be held outdoors at the Lambton letters in front of the south building.

Enrollment Initiatives Coordinator Shawn Fowler is happy to be welcoming guests back to campus.

"As everyone knows, the last few academic years have definitely been different than what everyone is used to," said Fowler. "We are looking forward to welcoming more students back to campus this fall in various programs. We're excited to also open the campus up by doing these types of events."

Fowler said guests will have the chance to get one-on-one assistance in filling out their application form, with the college covering the $95 application fee.

Representatives from the registrar's office, co-op career services, and residence will also be on hand to answer questions.

Fowler said safety is the number one concern for attendees and staff.

"There is a pre-registration that needs to be completed if people are planning on attending. There will also be some COVID screening that we'll ask people to complete prior to entering, and we ask them to have their mask on while at the event."

Smaller campus tours are being offered, and the Lions shop will be open.

The event runs from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Go to www.lambtoncollege.ca to register.
