The Lambton OPP marine unit arrested a pair of boaters on outstanding warrants, during vessel checks on the St. Clair River over the weekend.
Police identified the two individuals on separate occasions, and in both instances, officers took the accused into custody without incident.
OPP remind boaters that the marine unit focuses primarily on marine safety and sobriety while not responding to responding to marine incidents, and that officers are able to utilize all of their standard authorities while on the water as well.
Police also remind boaters to have the proper safety equipment prior to departure, including an appropriate sized life jacket for every individual on board.
