Pedestrian sent to hospital after collision in Sarnia

A pedestrian suffered serious and possibly life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle Sunday night in Sarnia.

City police responded to the collision on Indian Road South near the Campbell Street turnoff at around 10:15 p.m.

The scene remained closed until about 3 a.m.

Police said the pedestrian, a 39-year-old Sarnia man, was transported to hospital and later transferred to a London hospital.

Sarnia police continue to investigate and said no charges have been laid at this point.
