The Sarnia-Lambton Workforce Development Board's online career library continues to expand and help people find employment since launching about a year ago.
Executive Director Laura Greaves said the Work In Sarnia-Lambton (WISL) page has grown to include over 750 job postings, pulled from 23 different websites.
She said they recently introduced a new "sector" tool.
"It helps identify industry clusters in Sarnia-Lambton," said Greaves. "It shows hiring sectors by region. It's like a heat map that shows job concentration and lists the key companies that are hiring."
Greaves said there are a wide range of job opportunities, everything from the food service industry, to PSWs, lab techs, and contractors.
"There are lots of jobs available," she said. "We track every month how many jobs are posted and which employers are posting, and there are lots of job postings up there right now. We can also pull a lot of data from the back end. We can really track things like the number of job postings and how those change over time, which companies are hiring, which are the in demand jobs right now and which are the in demand skills."
The site also includes census tools, and population statistics.
