A 49-year-old Sarnia man has been charged with committing an indignity to a dead body in connection to an ongoing investigation.
Police were called to a home in the 700 block of Cardiff Drive on Saturday to conduct a welfare check.
The body of an elderly person was found at the home.
As of Friday, police said results from a postmortem examination are still pending. The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.
Sarnia police said the accused is scheduled to appear in court on June 9.
The home on Cardiff Drive is no longer cordoned off.
