The Ontario government announced some changes Friday that impact Sarnia-Lambton and other areas in the Grey-Lockdown level of the COVID-19 framework.
As of Monday, March 29, gyms will be able to offer outdoor fitness classes, and training to a maximum of 10 people provided they can stay three metres apart. Reservations and COVID screening will be required.
Also on Monday, marinas and boating clubs will be allowed to open clubhouses, restaurants and bars for outdoor dining, subject to public health and workplace safety measures.
Effective Monday, April 12, 2021, personal care services -- including hair and nail salons -- can reopen at 25 per cent capacity or five patrons (whichever is less), and will be available by appointment only.
The Ford government, in a news release, said it was making limited, targeted adjustments to grey level measures "to further support businesses and promote fitness during the pandemic."
Sarnia-Lambton moved into the grey zone on March 15.
The area's COVID-19 incidence rate per 100,000 population increased from 119 to 160 for the week of March 14 to March 20, and the positivity rate rose to 3.7 per cent from 3.3.
