Household hazardous waste collection Saturday

Household hazardous waste is being collected on Saturday at Clean Harbors.

Lambton County residents can safely dispose of it at no cost from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 4090 Telfer Rd. in St. Clair Township.

Everyone attending is asked to follow COVID-19 protocols.

Materials are to be packaged in a disposable container like cardboard boxes because they will not be returned. Materials should be put in the trunk or back of vehicles to maximize distancing for event staff collecting the items. Event staff will be removing materials from vehicles so those attending should remain in their vehicles at all times.

Corrosive, toxic, reactive and flammable materials will be collected. Items not accepted include PCBs, commercial, industrial, radioactive wastes, electronics, and explosives.

Household hazardous waste collection is also being held April 24, May 29, June 26, September 25, and October 30.
