Periods of rain, heavy at times, with isolated thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into Friday. Rainfall amounts will generally be in the 20 millimetre to 40 millimetre range, with locally up to 50 millimetres, two inches, possible in thunderstorms in some areas.
The rain will taper off Friday by noon.
Strong northwest winds gusting to 70 or 80 kilometres an hour are expected in many areas Friday.
The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority issued a flood watch Thursday afternoon, saying rain and strong winds could cause storm surge, increased wave action and erosion along the Lake Huron shore, particularly in the Old Lakeshore Road area of Bright's Grove.
