United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized a handgun and pot from a man refused entry into Canada at the Blue Water Bridge last week.
In a news release, CBP said Office of Field Operations officers encountered a 42-year-old man on his way back into the U.S. Sunday, March 7.
The man was referred to a secondary vehicle examination where officers discovered an unregistered handgun, 32 rounds of ammunition, and 27 grams of marijuana -- disguised in a container of nuts.
“This was a great team effort by our officers” said Acting Port Director John Nowak.
