Nominations open for Lambton Agriculture Hall of Fame

The Lambton Agriculture Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for its 2021 induction class, until March 31.

The hall honours members of the community who have made a significant impact on the local farming sector.

Spokesperson Irene Jardine said recognizing the efforts of the agricultural community is extremely important.

"A lot of people don't know how much of an impact that our local residents have made on our community, the agricultural industry," said Jardine. "We're all affected by the agriculture industry, they keep us fed."

Jardine said last year's ceremony was held via Zoom, and went very well, adding they could do a similar event this year.

She said residents can view the plaques, honouring previous inductees, at the Brigden Fairgrounds.

You can request a nomination form by emailing lambtonaghallfame@gmail.com or giving Irene a call at 519-331-2662.
