Sarnia man hits Imperial Theatre jackpot

A Sarnia man is over $400,000 richer after winning last month's Imperial Theatre 50/50 draw.

On Friday the theatre presented Brad Williamson with a cheque for $408,655 after his ticket was picked from the pot on Monday.

The theatre said Williamson attends many shows and that his granddaughter has performed on its stage in the past.

Williamson said he plans to share the money with family and go on a trip when they're allowed to travel again.

The theatre's March 50/50 draw has already climbed above $33,000 since being launched at the start of the month.

The draws have become extremely popular and are generating funds that will help secure the theatre's post-pandemic future.
