Churchill Line house destroyed by fire

A house on Churchill Line was destroyed by fire overnight.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue responded to a fully involved structure fire near Telfer Road at around midnight.

No injuries were reported and the lone occupant made it out safely.

In a news release, Chief Fire Prevention Officer Roel Bus said the cause of the blaze has been classified as undetermined.

Bus said damage to the two-storey home is estimated at $200,000.

Firefighters were still on scene early Thursday morning. Churchill Line was closed between Brigden Road and Blackwell Side Road for several hours.
