Another COVID-19 death, Sarnia-Lambton case count up 42

Lambton Public Health (LPH) reported the community's 31st COVID-19 death Saturday.

Details were not immediately available.

The health unit's website showed a total of 1,544 confirmed cases since the end of March, an increase of 42 since Friday. The number of resolved cases is up 58 at 1,344 lowering the active case count by 17 at 199.

Active outbreaks went up by two for a total of 12.

Bluewater Health reported Saturday that there are 12 patients currently in hospital with the virus, two more since Friday. The number of patients who have died in hospital since the start of the pandemic remained at 21.
