Two Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) employees at the Blue Water Bridge are isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
CBSA spokesperson Rebecca Purdy said contact tracing was completed and anyone who may have been exposed has been notified, asked to monitor for symptoms, and may have been instructed to remain at home for the recommended incubation period.
The total number of CBSA employees impacted was not specified.
Purdy said steps were also taken to clean the location where the employees worked.
The CBSA's normal operations continue and traffic volumes and wait times are being monitored regularly.
Purdy said staffing levels are being adjusted to minimize processing times and unnecessary delays during peak travel periods.
Since March 2020, Purdy said four employees at the bridge have tested positive for the virus.
Of those four cases, three cases were determined to be community transmission and one case is unknown.
