Two suspected trespassers stuck in the mud, arrested

Lambton OPP laid drug charges against a 31-year-old Dawn-Euphemia man after receiving a complaint about two trespassers trying to free their vehicle from the mud.

Police were called to Gum Bed Line in Oil Springs at around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Police said the vehicle had improper plates, and suspected methamphetamine was found on one of the occupants.

There was an outstanding warrant for the other accused in another jurisdiction, resulting in both individuals being arrested.

The Dawn-Euphemia man is charged with possession of a schedule one substance, and will appear in Sarnia court on March 10.
