Police rule out foul play in 402 off-ramp death investigation

Sarnia police have ruled out foul play in connection with Tuesday's discovery of a body off Highway 402.

Cst. John Sottosanti said Thursday that the cause of death is still undetermined pending further results from the Centre of Forensic Sciences, but they are able to say that foul play is not a factor and the incident is not criminal in nature.

A post mortem examination was conducted at London Health Sciences Centre.

Cst. Sottosanti said police are trying to locate and notify family of the deceased individual.

No further details have been released.

Police were alerted at around 12:20 p.m. January 5 by a highway maintenance employee about the discovery of a body near the southwest side of the eastbound off-ramp to Exmouth Street and Indian Road.
