Nine projects get Lambton Creative County grants

Nine projects have been approved for funding in 2021 under Lambton's Creative County Grant program.

Lambton County Cultural Services General Manager Andrew Meyer said they invested $37,500, mostly in projects that demonstrated innovation in responding to the pandemic.

"It's estimated that funding will leverage over $200,000 in local cultural investment by the organizations that are applying and their respective partners," said Meyer. "So, it's interesting to see that the $37,500 actually leverages a lot more in terms of investment by community groups."

The Creative County Grant program, launched in 2013, provides up to 50% of total project costs for new arts, culture and heritage initiatives across Sarnia-Lambton.

The next application intake will be in the fall of 2021.
