Warwick Township has named its Senior of the Year for 2020.
Mayor Jackie Rombouts and Councillor Wayne Morris presented Maryanne Cundick with the award Wednesday.
Mayor Rombouts said Maryanne Cundick has been the volunteer coordinator of the Watford Food Bank since it first opened in 2012, is a member of the Watford Rotary Club and a tireless community volunteer.
“Maryanne’s dedication to the Watford Food Bank has supported so many local families over the years, especially this year as many adapt to changes created by COVID-19," said Rombouts in a statement. "Warwick Township Council is very grateful to Maryanne for all that she does to make Warwick Township a wonderful place to live."
The Township of Warwick’s Senior of the Year Award honours a senior citizen who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of the community.
Donations to the Watford Food Bank, located at Watford United Church on Ontario Street, can be dropped off on Tuesdays between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
