There were tire tracks across the front lawn of the church and damage to the southeast corner of the building. The vehicle was also damaged but police said the female driver was not seriously hurt.

The 24-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Sarnia Police Headquarters where breath tests showed she was over the legal limit.

She faces charges of impaired driving and having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood, and has had her licence suspended for 90 days.
