The Blenheim native represents East, South, and West Kent.

Campbell has been a board trustee since 2006 and served as vice chair in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, after serving on various board committees.

He takes over for longtime trustee Jane Bryce.

Campbell said he appreciates the support of the board and looks forward to the transition into the new role.

"As we continue to face unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as ongoing enrolment and financial challenges, the board will remain focused on effective governance that supports student success and well-being."

Derek Robertson, who represents Chatham, was elected vice chair.
