A man was rushed to hospital with several stab wounds in a violent residential break-in Wednesday evening.
Sarnia police said two suspects broke into a home in the 800 block of Montrose Street and attacked two victims with a hammer, a machete and a replica handgun.
Cst. John Sottosanti said when officers arrived just after 6:15 p.m., they found a 28-year-old man with non-life threatening stab wounds, and a 34-year-old man also suffering from minor injuries.
"The two victims and the two accused were known to each other," said Sottosanti. "A short time later that evening officers were able to locate the two suspects and they were arrested without incident."
Kevin Rene Racette, 30, of Sarnia faces several charges including two counts of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, use of an imitation firearm during flight, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, discharging an air pistol or gun with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Emily Danby Wasson, 21, of Sarnia is also charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Both suspects were being held for bail hearings.
