Sarnia police say a man has been arrested in connection with an early summer shooting in Bright's Grove.
Just before noon on June 26th, officers responded to a home on Franklin Avenue and found a 49-year-old man had been shot.
He was taken to London hospital and has since recovered.
Cst. John Sottosanti said after a lengthy investigation, a suspect was identified.
"The Sarnia Police Service Investigation Branch continued their investigation into this crime and determined the suspect to be a Terrance Christopher Shipway, 34, of the town of Ailsa Craig, Ontario," said Sottosanti. "Officers from the Sarnia Police Service in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police, arrested Shipway on Monday, November 2 at about 3:45 p.m. without incident."
The arrest was made in an area north of the town.
Cst. Sottosanti said Shipway was transported back to Sarnia and is in custody pending a bail hearing on the following charges:
1) One count of attempted murder
2) One count of robbery using a firearm
3) One count of carrying a concealed weapon
4) Two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
5) One count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
6) One count of intimidation of a person of the general public
7) One count of having knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
8) One count of possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
