Area MPPs acclaimed to represent ridings in next election

MPPs Bob Bailey and Monte McNaughton have been acclaimed as the Conservative Party's candidates for the next provincial election.

Bailey has represented the Sarnia-Lambton riding since 2007.

McNaughton has been MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex since 2011 and is currently Ontario's Labour Minister.

Several PC MPPs were acclaimed across the province Saturday.

The next Ontario election will be held on or before June 2, 2022.

On June 7, 2018 Doug Ford's PCs won a majority government with 76 of the 124 seats in the legislature. Bailey was re-elected for a fourth term in Sarnia-Lambton but for the first time as a member of the governing party.
