A 20-year-old man from Petrolia is facing several charges following a hit-and-run last week, that sent a person to hospital with serious injuries.
Sarnia police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle in the area of Elizabeth Avenue and Exmouth Street at around 12 a.m. Friday.
Officers arrived to find a 24-year-old man lying on the ground -- he was sent to London hospital and was in stable condition recovering from significant injuries.
Police said the suspect vehicle was abandoned a short distance away from the crash, and that an investigation was launched to determine who the suspect was.
On Tuesday, police said Noah O’Dwyer Bristol turned himself in and was being held for a bail hearing.
He's charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm, and failing to comply with release.
