Lambton Public Health reports second COVID-19 case this week

Lambton Public Health is reporting a second confirmed case of COVID-19 this week.

The health unit reported the first Tuesday night, after 12 days of no new cases.

Since the pandemic started, 288 cases have now been confirmed locally.

To date, 260 have been resolved. There have been no related deaths since June 6 and the death toll stands at 25, leaving three active cases.

The health unit has received results from 14, 666 COVID-19 tests, of which 98 per cent have been negative.

As of Friday, there were no patients confirmed to have the virus at Bluewater Health. The hospital said 11 patients are suspected of having it and are waiting for test results.
