A Lambton Shores man is charged with impaired driving after nearly colliding with a police cruiser.
South Bruce OPP officers were patrolling on Grey-Bruce Line at around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, when a cruiser was nearly hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The officer was able to swerve out of the way to avoid a crash and then stopped the driver, who was allegedly found to be impaired.
Police said the 65-year-old driver is scheduled to appear in court June 24 to answer to the charges.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
