Inaugural "Ride of Respect" salutes frontline workers

On Saturday, 125 motorcycle enthusiasts rode 50 kilometres through the City of Sarnia to pay their respect to frontline workers.

The route passed by Sarnia Police and OPP headquarters, firehalls, Lambton EMS, Bluewater Health, Lambton Public Health as well as all long-term care homes.

Organizer David Burrows said he's proud to be a part of a community that knows how to come together in a time of crisis.

"I'm very grateful to my friend Pam Scott for creating the route and helping organize the riders," he said. "Thank you to The Lady Luck riders, CMC Sarnia chapter as well as clubs who came from as far as London to join the ride, and a special thank you to Ozwelds Diner for their support as well."

The ride also served as a reminder to the community that motorcycles are on the road and to keep an eye and be safe when driving.
