A 27-year-old Sarnia man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for stabbing a man at a convenience store in November 2017.
A ministry of the attorney general spokesman told BlackburnNews.com that Damien Allison-Harding has six years left to serve, with 297 days credit for pre-sentence custody.
Allison-Harding pulled out a large knife and stabbed a 36-year-old man after an exchange of words in the 7/11 at Mitton and Wellington streets.
The victim was critically injured and required extensive medical care.

Allison-Harding was sentenced for aggravated assault by teleconference this week in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Sarnia. A charge of assault with a weapon was stayed.
He was arrested in Montreal in February of this year after failing to attend a scheduled court date. The Montreal Police Service turned him over to Sarnia police on February 11.
