Two arrested in Dawn-Euphemia traffic stop

Lambton OPP arrested two people after stopping a vehicle in Dawn-Euphemia that was allegedly being driven by a wanted person.

The stop was made Wednesday on Edys Mill Line.

Police say the driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of methamphetamine, resulting in a passenger also being arrested.

A 27-year-old Oil Springs man and a 22-year-old Warwick Township woman face drug possession charges. The 22-year-old is also charged with failing to comply with a release order.

Both were being held for bail hearings.
