Three animals perished in a shed fire on Rokeby Line Saturday afternoon.
Petrolia fire crews responded to the 4400 block where they found a fully involved outbuilding housing several animals.
Chief Jay Arns said, with the help of OPP, they got a lot of the animals out, but that unfortunately, three did perish inside.
"It's labeled as a shed, but it was more of an animal shelter -- maybe 12x12 or a little bigger. It housed various animals as a hobby farm, and when we arrived on scene, it was already fully involved."

The blaze was quickly extinguished with no other injuries reported.
Arns pegged the damage at around $2,500.
