A 27-year-old Sarnia man, convicted of attempted murder, was arrested in Montreal earlier this month after failing to attend a scheduled court date.
Sarnia police say Damien Richard Allison-Harding was to be sentenced at Sarnia courthouse December 20 in relation to a stabbing he was accused of committing on November 9, 2017 -- it's alleged suspect had been evading the courts and the police since missing his court date.

The suspect was located by Montreal Police Service before being turned over to Sarnia police February 11.
The suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants stemming from his previous court matter, along with new charges of assault and sexual assault stemming from separate instances.
Allison-Harding was convicted of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon after a man was stabbed at the 7-11 at Mitton Street and Wellington Street following an exchange of words inside the store.
It's alleged that the suspect pulled out a large knife and stabbed the victim leaving him in a critical state that required extensive medical care.
Allison-Harding was being held in custody.
