Courtright connection at Spengler Cup in Davos

Courtright's Dustin Jeffrey will suit up for Canada's Spengler Cup team once again this year.

The tournament features some of the best Canadian talent playing in Europe, and club teams out of Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, and Sweden.

Jeffrey has seven goals and 22 points in 28 games in his fourth season with Lausanne HC of the Swiss A league.

The 31-year-old won the league scoring title in 2017-18 with 57 points in 50 games played.

He also played at the tournament in 2016.

Over 131 NHL games with Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Arizona, Jeffrey scored 18 goals and added 15 assists.

Other former NHLers playing for Canada include Eric Fehr, Daniel Winnik, Scottie Upshall, Kris Versteeg, and David Desharnais.

The tournament gets underway on Boxing Day in Davos, Switzerland.

Canada will square off against HC Ocelari Trinec in their opener. The championship game will be played on December 31.
