Homeowners and small businesses in Ontario will see a change on their hydro bill next month.
Bluewater Power President and CEO Janice McMichael Dennis said prices will be going up 1.8 per cent or about $1 month for the average customer.
"So on November 1, we have three things happening in the electricity world," said McMichael-Dennis. "The first thing that will happen is the province changes the commodity pricing, this applies right across the province of Ontario."
Winter time-of-use pricing also kicks in on November 1.
The cheapest price for electricity, 10.1 cents/kWh will be in the overnight weekday hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and on weekends and holidays.
The highest price for electricity, 20.8 cents/kW/h will be weekdays between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m, and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Also starting November 1, McMichael-Dennis said energy credits will be consolidated under one line item on your monthly bill.
