Alleged impaired driver stopped at Blue Water Bridge

A Michigan man is charged with impaired driving after attempting to cross the Blue Water Bridge into Canada on Saturday.

The Canada Border Services Agency reported an impaired driver to Lambton OPP at around 11:15 a.m.

The CBSA said while the driver was stopped in secondary for inspection, he showed signs of impairment and was arrested.

The 57-year-old man from Davison, Michigan was taken to the OPP detachment in Point Edward to provide a breath sample.

He's charged with impaired driving and scheduled to appear in Sarnia court at a later date.
