UPDATE: Stolen dog returned to owner (GALLERY)

Police are thanking the public for its help in locating a stolen dog Monday.

Sightings of the 2.5-year-old female husky/dingo mix were reported to police, after media reports circulated that the dog was taken Saturday evening by a man on a bike, from the Christina Street area.

Sarnia police were able to track down the dog and the alleged suspect in the London Road area just before 8 p.m. Monday.

The dog, 'Empsee', was returned to her owners. Police say the alleged suspect, a 49-year-old man, is under investigation.
