Chamber OBAA nomination deadline near

The deadline is quickly approaching for the 30th annual Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Awards. Nominations are being accepted until August 2.

President Shirley de Silva said it's extremely important to recognize the area's strong business community.

"It's an opportunity for them to be recognized by their peers or their customers," said de Silva. "It's an opportunity for those who benefit from those services to be able to express how satisfied they are with the services, and it aligns really well with economic development. We want to know that our businesses are doing well."

de Silva said awards will be presented in 16 categories including small and large business of the year, customer service, and business leadership.

You can visit www.slchamber.ca for more information and to nominate a winner by August 2.

The awards will be handed out during a ceremony on October 18 at the Imperial Theatre.
