Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest celebrates 20 years

The Sarnia Kinsmen Club's annual Ribfest returns to Centennial Park this weekend.

Ribfest kicks off Friday at 11:30 a.m and continues Saturday and Sunday.

Spokesperson Jack Struck said the event will feature five ribbers from Sarnia-Lambton, London, Windsor and the GTA and other vendors.

"It's our 20th anniversary and we're so excited because we have such a lineup this year that's really hard to believe," said Struck. "We have three of the original ribbers that started in 1999 are here again, they're just a great bunch of people. Plus we have a whole bunch of new food vendors that are going to be here this year and we have an artisan craft show."

Also new to Ribfest this year, the Canine Watersports of Canada on Saturday and Sunday and a midway with rides for all ages.

Struck said admission is by donation and $5 for adults after 6 p.m.
