The Alzheimer Society is hosting another Finding Your Way registration day with Sarnia police.
First Link Coordinator Ann McLean said family members can register loved ones living with Alzheimer's and dementia in the event they go missing.
Caregivers are asked to bring a current photo of their loved one, along with proper identification and health information.
"Three out of five people with dementia will go missing," said McLean. "We really want you to come and give your information to police, they scan a picture into their system and if someone with dementia goes missing they want to be called right away. Then quickly, that information will go out to their vehicles, a team goes out into the community and hopefully find them soon."
McLean said over the last two years, 146 people have been registered with city police.
Registration day is being held Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m, at Sarnia Police Headquarters at 555 Christina St. N.
