Sarnia police laid three more impaired driving charges over the weekend.
Officers responded to the area of Devine Street and Indian Road at around 2:25 a.m. Saturday after a witness report of a man seen stumbling getting into a car and leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
Police found the vehicle near Confederation Street and Trudeau Drive, and charged a 50-year-old Point Edward man with impaired driving after he blew over twice the legal limit at police headquarters.
In a second incident Saturday at around 10:20 p.m., police stopped a vehicle that squealed its tires and accelerated at a high rate of speed as it left an address near Confederation Street and Brock Street.
The driver was arrested for being impaired but refused to provide a breath sample. A 20-year-old Corunna man is charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.
On Sunday at around 8 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of Blackwell Road where they arrested a female driver behind the wheel with keys in hand.
The 37-year-old from Sarnia was charged with impaired driving after blowing over three times the legal limit at police headquarters.
