The Sarnia Imperials opened their 2019 Northern Football Conference season with an impressive 36-0 win over the visiting Sault Steelers.
Micah Moore led the way with two touchdowns with Tyler Storie, Tyler Whatley and Josh Wright also scoring six-pointers.
Josh Graham chipped in with 4 converts and Michael Moore added a two-point convert to complete the scoring.
The Imperials rushed for 65 yards on 21 attempts with three rushing touchdowns while quarterback Julian Shadd-Gentry passed for 108 yards on five completions including a 54 yard catch and run TD.
Sarnia's stingy defense allowed only two yards passing and 80 yards on the ground.
Next Saturday the Imperials will travel to Toronto to take on the GTA All Stars, the team they lost to in last season's championship game.
The All Stars opened the season with a 28-7 win over Tri-City.
Sudbury downed Oakville 35-26 and Steel City blanked Ottawa 21-0.
