Anglers battle gusty winds on day seven of Salmon Derby

Day seven of the Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby was hampered by strong gusty southwest winds which kept most anglers off Lake Huron.

There were 88 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 19 entered in Port Franks for a seven day total of 1118 fish.

Harry Harris of Sarnia is the new leader in the Trout-Shore category with a 7.40 lb Rainbow Trout.

The other leaders remain unchanged:

  • Robert Brunet of Sarnia in the Salmon category with a 19.01 lb. Salmon.
  • Brian Bubreuvil of Sarnia in the Trout-Boat Category with a 9.90 lb Rainbow Trout
  • Ryan Henry of Kettle Point in the Lake Trout category with a 18.18 lb. Lake Trout.
  • Tammy Milne of Lambton Shores in the Walleye category with a 7.56 lb. Walleye.
  • Evan Hanington of Ailsa Craig is the Kids Big Fish leader with a 15.44 lb Salmon.
The Daily Big Fish winner is Dean Nuckowski of Port Franks with a 14.44 lb Salmon.
