No changes to the leaderboard at the Salmon Derby

Over 170 fish were entered on day six of the Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby.

There were no changes on the leaderboard:

    • Robert Brunet of Sarnia in the Salmon category with a 19.01 lb. Salmon.
    • Brian Bubreuvil of Sarnia in the Trout-Boat Category with a 9.90 lb Rainbow Trout.
    • Sara Lapish of Sarnia in the Trout-Shore category with a 7.06 lb. Rainbow Trout.
    • Ryan Henry of Kettle Point in the Lake Trout category with a 18.18 lb. Lake Trout.
    • Tammy Milne of Lambton Shores in the Walleye category with a 7.56 lb. Walleye.
    • Evan Hanington of Ailsa Craig is the Kids Big Fish leader with a 15.44 lb Salmon.
The Daily Big Fish winner was Rick Scott of St. Mary's with a 16.90 lb Lake Trout.

The Daily Draw Prize winners are Bob Burges of London and Shane Remes of Sarnia.

There were 96 fish entered in Sarnia and 80 in Port Franks Wednesday, for a six day total of 1011 fish.

The derby wraps up on Sunday, May 12.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
