Marinaro to skate for mental health in Sarnia

A figure skating fundraiser for mental health will feature Sarnia's most prominent skater.

Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers, the reigning Canadian pairs champions, will take part in the Spring Skate for Mental Health Fundraiser and Memorial in honour of Tamara Lumley.

Talk for Tamara (TFT) and the Sarnia Community Foundation are hosting the event at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Marinaro said they're hoping to raise a lot of money for a good cause.

"The day will include a two hour show featuring some local talent and it will also be the first time in about four years that Kirsten and I will be performing here in the city," he said.

The event goes May 19. Tickets are $15, $20 at the door.

You can also purchase tickets at Stoke's Inland or by calling the Sarnia Community Foundation at 519-332-2588.
