Walk for Kids Help Phone

The annual 'Walk So Kids Can Talk' in Sarnia is on Sunday, May 5.

The event at Canatara Park is in support of the Kids Help Phone.

Spokesperson Wes Harding said the walk consists of two 2.5 kilometre loops through the park.

"It's one of the very few communities where it is stroller and wheelchair friendly," said Harding. "The walk is suitable for all ages and all abilities. It's going to be a great day."

Registration begins at 9 a.m at the Seaway Kiwanis Pavilion and the walk gets underway at 10 a.m. You can also register in advance at www.walksokidscantalk.ca

Kids Help Phone has offered support to youth across the country for over 28 years.

By calling 1-800-668-6868, youth can speak confidentially to a counsellor about any number of issues including bullying, dating, sexual orientation, violence and abuse.
