A young child and a pregnant woman were fortunately not seriously hurt in a two-vehicle crash at Murphy Road and Wellington Street early Friday afternoon.
Sarnia police, fire and Lambton EMS responded just before 12:30 p.m. to a collision between a car and an SUV.
Constable Nelson Amaral said the SUV was being driven by a 31-year-old female, who had a four-month-old baby girl in the vehicle with her, both were treated on scene and released with minor injuries.
He said a pregnant woman in the other car went to hospital.
"The vehicle was being driven by a 28-year-old male, and the passenger was a 27-year-old female who was pregnant," said Amaral. "She had minor injuries. She was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital as a precaution."
The southbound lanes of Murphy Road were blocked for about an hour.
Police continue to investigate.
