Purple fentanyl seized in Sandy Lane drug bust

Four people face drug trafficking charges following an investigation into the alleged sale of purple powder fentanyl on Sandy Lane.

Members of the Sarnia police vice unit executed a search warrant at around 7 p.m. Wednesday after allegedly watching two men conduct a drug transaction outside a residential building.

The men were arrested and two others were taken into custody after officers searched a unit.

Officers seized 12.68 grams of powder fentanyl, 0.75 grams of methamphetamine, 0.5 grams of cocaine, and $910 in currency.

Craig Henry Oost, 32, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking an opioid, and two counts of possession of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Darren Andrew Nesbitt, 42, faces one count of trafficking an opiod.

Amanda Lynn Gardner, 34, is charged with one count of trafficking an opiod, two counts of possessing methamphetamine and cocaine and one count of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

Garnet William Robinson, 32, faces one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking an opiod, two counts of possession of methamphetamine and cocaine and one count of failing to comply with conditions of probation.

Nesbitt was released on a promise to appear while the other three suspects were being held pending bail hearings.
