Degroot's Nurseries will be filled with cats and kittens Saturday for a fundraising event aimed at finding some pets their forever homes.
Cat Chance, a small volunteer group from Sarnia, will be hosting Cat Mania from the London Line greenhouse.
Volunteer Deb Burkhart said the TNR organization, trap-neuter-return, is hoping to spread awareness.
"We're going to show you how to build cat shelters, we're going to have cats up for adoption, and we are also going to have information on how to trap appropriately and humanely, which is what we do for all of our cats."
Burkhart said you can also bring your furry little felines to the event.
"We do have a pet photographer, so if you want to bring in your cat to get their picture taken, that's part of the event too."
Burkhart said they'll be accepting monetary donations, as well as any other cat-like donations, including food, kitty litter and toys to help with their cause.
"We have two shelters, so when we find a cat that's been abandoned, a stray cat, a friendly cat, we put them in the shelter or foster homes, and get them used to being around people to socialize them. Then they go up on our board for adoption."
Burkhart said they're always looking for more volunteers and foster homes to support the cats.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and goes until about 3 p.m.
